What Law Did Jesus Do Away With?

It is true that Jesus came to do away with a law.. But which one?

Isaiah 8:20

To the law and to the testimony: of they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Light means truth.

Now that we have established this

Lets start from the beginning, the only thing that God commanded Israel when he bought them out of the land of egpyt was to keep the commandments, however they transgressed so the Lord added animal sacrifices to keep from killing them, and to show them that the wages of sin is death.

Daniel 9:26-27

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
The definition of oblation is offering and of course we know that  sacrifices is animal sacrifices..

The law of animal sacrifces was this law we were under and it could never take away sins

Hebrews 10:1-11

For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God
Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, WHICH CAN NEVER TAKE AWAY SINS.

We could just stop here but lets go a little further.

Out of the mouth of Jesus himself

Matthew 19

And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
Jesus just took him back to Exodus 20 and told him the Ten commandments and the young man said ” Ive kept these since my childhood”.

So why are we making excuses saying we cannot keep this law?

We can try..

We talk alot about sin , and we call other people sinners but what is sin according to the word of God?

Romans 6:15

What then shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid

1 John 3:4

Whosoever committeth sin trangresseth also the law: for sin is the trangression of the law.

What are we doing still talking about laws?

Someone has been lying to you..

What is love according to Jesus

John 14:15

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Lets see what the love of your neighbor is,

1 John 5:2

By this we know that we love the children of God , when we love God , and keep his commandments.

2 John 6

And this is love , that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning , ye should walk in it.

See how important it is to read from Genesis to Revelation , what did we hear in the beginning. Well we would have to go back to Exodus 20. The commandments, Leviticus 11 Dietary Law, and Leviticus 23Feast days.

1 John 2:3-4

And hereby we do know thay we know him if we keep his commandments.

He that saith , I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar and the truth is not in him.

Revelation 22:14

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Peace to you.
